Team Nova Scotia (NS) had another fabulous year at the 2026 CCC! Similar to last year, history continues to be made. Last year, the 2025 CCC was special as Team NS had a historical 3rd place finish across all the provinces (at that time, the previous highest Team NS had achieved was 5th place). This year, Team NS was not able to top last year’s 3rd place; however, the team had a strong result, placing 4th overall. Team NS also clinched the best Atlantic Provinces prize. Nonetheless, Team NS continued to break new records this year in terms of individual results, achieving 5 podium finishers!!!
Special congratulations to our 5 podium finishers:
Calix (1st place- perfect score, grade 8),
Louis (2nd place, grade 9),
Oliver (3rd place, grade 11),
Aakash (3rd place, grade 5) and
Dhyey (3rd place, grade 2).
A shout out also goes to Ethan (tied for 3rd, 4th place after tiebreaks, grade 4). Calix also won the CCC Blitz tournament, which included CCC players as well as others (parents, coaches, team leaders etc.). Finally, in the CCC Bughouse event, Calix & Louis won 1st, and Jordan (from Team NS, who was partnered with Wesley from Team Ontario) won 2nd.
So much talent in NS! Way to go all Team NS members, you should be proud of your accomplishments!
