About us

The Nova Scotia Scholastic Chess Association (NSSCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting youth chess in Nova Scotia. Established in 1998, our association includes parents, educators and chess players from across the province. The main goals of the NSSCA are to:

Foster the growth of youth chess in Nova Scotia.
Organize tournaments in locations across the province.
Support school chess programs.
Organize the annual Nova Scotia Provincial Chess Challenge.

As a volunteer group we welcome and need your support, suggestions, and help.
