For the first time in its 24 year history, the Canadian Chess Challenge is coming to Nova Scotia. This prestigious national chess competition brings together the Twelve Grade Champions from each of Canada’s ten provinces to compete in matches that will be held at St. Mary's University, Halifax, May 20-21, 2012.

We are happy to extend a warm welcome to all 120 chess players and to their accompanying family members and supporters. The young competitors will experience challenging, high caliber chess over this weekend.

We also want to encourage you to extend your visit and take time to explore Halifax and the surrounding region. We are very proud of our beautiful province and we want all of you to experience a little of Nova Scotia while you are here. Many of our great sightseeing attractions are listed on this web site.
